Information for visiting Wild Hill Farm!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to our organic farm! We are excited to have you join us as a volunteer or visitor and contribute to our mission of sustainable agriculture in our local community. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please familiarize yourself with the following rules and guidelines.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finding us: We are located at 2176 Elton Rd. Bloomfield
Look for the “Wild Hill Farm” sign out front and our large grey/blue barn. We do live in the country where the cell signal is not reliable. We are on Elton Road between County Road 14 and Route 5&20, in the small hamlet of Ionia.
Parking: We have a gravel parking lot directly behind the barn, and we have spots down by the greenhouse in our grass parking lot as well. If the weather is rainy or has recently rained, staying on the gravel is recommended. Please be extra cautious driving on the farm, especially backing up, as there can be lots of people, kids, dogs, tractors, etc. around.
Wild Hill Farm Mission: At Wild Hill Farm, we believe in building community through healthy food and a deep love of the land. Our CSA membership program allows you to invest in a sustainable future while enjoying access to fresh, organic produce directly from our farm.
We prioritize responsible farming practices, avoiding pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, and GMOs to ensure that we produce good, clean food that nourishes both body and soul. We invite you to get down-to-earth and experience the abundance and health that comes from a compassionate partnership with the land.
Event cancellation policy
Many of the farm events occur outdoors and are weather dependent, and weather can be unpredictable sometimes! Wild Hill Farm reserves the right to cancel any event. We will give as much advance notice as possible. Please contact Erin (below) if you have questions.
Social Media Sharing:
Understand that photographs or videos may be taken of guests in connection with participation in farm activities and that these pictures may be used on the Wild Hill Farm website, social medias, and emails. If you do not consent to this, please notify the Wild Hill Farm staff.
If you want to tag us, please do! Sharing helps spread the small organic farm love & attract other potential CSA members to support our farm.

Farm Rules:
Dress for the Farm: Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for farm work, including hats, gloves, layers, and closed-toe shoes. Sunblock is a good idea.
Off-limit Areas: Please stay out of greenhouses, sheds, barns, woods, and fields when not accompanied by a farmer. Please stay off all tractors and equipment. Farms can have lots of hazards, so please listen to farmers and respect restrictions.
There is a bathroom inside the barn available for your use. Enter through the large sliding door behind the barn, go up the two steps immediately to your right, then immediately turn left and walk all the way to the door of the bathroom.
Electric Fences are to keep the deer out of our crops, and usually they are turned off during the day when visitors are around. We like to train kids to assume they are on at all times. Please do not touch them, and make sure your kids know not to touch them.
Hydrate: bring a filled water bottle or two. Dehydration is a real risk in the summer heat, and you need to drink water before you become thirsty. If you are feeling light-headed, dizzy, or have a headache or nausea or other symptoms, please take time to rest in the shade and hydrate.
There are ticks out here: please check yourself thoroughly after coming to the farm. They can carry Lyme disease and it’s no joke.
Honey bees live on the farm and they help us with pollination. If you are allergic, please come prepared and bring your epi-pen.
First aid supplies are located in the bathroom inside the barn. Please report all injuries or close calls to farm staff.
No dogs or pets are allowed on the farm. Please leave them at home.
Lightning means get out of the field immediately. Thunder is ok, but as soon as you see a flash, however distant, please take shelter in your car or the barn until the storm has passed.
Phone-free Zone: We like to create a peaceful environment at the farm where folks can relax in technology-free nature! Please save your calls/texts/etc. for somewhere else, like inside your car. You are welcome to take photos of the farm to post later though.
No Smoking or vaping on the farm. Tomatoes can get a disease from tobacco smoke, and besides, we want to keep a healthy environment for everyone.
